What is philosophy for? Does it help us change the world or even, at the very least, understand it?

Wittgenstein’s major philosophical work Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus makes the claim that when it comes to the most important issues - the problem of life - words fail us: “it is clear that ethics cannot be expressed.”

There is no language to talk about what is happening, and we would do better to remain silent.
